- ItemEvaluation of E-Learning Utilization as an Aid to Teaching and Learning: A Case of Federal College of Education Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria(Kampala International University, Degree of Master of Information System (MIS), 2017-02) Sulaiman, BelloThe title of the study was to evaluate e-learning utilization as an aid to teaching and learning. The perspective of federal college of education Zaria had a number of challenges in e-learning utilization ranging from inadequate knowledge/skill to maintenance, and technical support, with the main objective of enhancing acceptance of e-learning to complement teaching and learning. The specific objectives are to determinate the level of e-learning utilization, and factors that impede the utilization level of e-learning among the students and academic staff of College of Education Zaria, also to establish a significant relationship between utilization of e-learning and the teaching and learning process. Both quantitative and qualitative research method are used in achieving the set objectives. The target population is 8,500 comprising both the students and academic staff, using simple random sampling to select 382 sample sizes. Questionnaires' and unstructured interview was used for data collection and SPSS was also used for data analysis. According to the findings the independent variable which includes social influence, facilitating condition, effort expectancy and performance expectancy, maintenance and support of e-learning are reliable with coefficient of variance close to zero respectively. The evaluation of the above variables, recommended that there should be training and support in ICT, content creation skills and policy, infrastructural and technical issues, and motivation of academic staff in utilization and importance of ICT in teaching and learning.
