This was augmented by face to face interviews of key respondents, observation and focused group discussions that were handy in enlisting primary data about the research problem. The findings of the study revealed that issues of personal security, inadequate social protection, injustices and human rights violations remain a concern of the population in Northern Uganda as people resettle in their homes. The study further established gross human rights violation committed by the LRA rebels. The identified human rights violations include rape, killing, mutilation, child soldier, abduction, sexual violence, torture and loss of property in Northern Uganda. The study also examined the administration of justice in Northern Uganda and established that justice in Northern Uganda needs both legal and non legal interventions. Much as the criminal justice process is vital for holding perpetrators accountable for their crimes, it does not adequately' address the complex needs of victims of the armed conflict in Northern Uganda and their perpetrators who are currently living in the same localities in the post-armed conflict situation.
